Associated Partners

The EPS Programme has a large network of Associated Partners that constitute a valuable platform both in the academic as well as professional sense (in total there are 23 APs). Among them, six institutions play a special role: Europaeum (Oxford, United Kingdom), TEPSA (Brussels, Belgium), International Cultural Centre (Krakow, Poland), Samsung Electronics Benelux B.V. (Delft, Netherlands), together with Václav Havel related organizations (Václav Havel Library and Fórum 2000).

The Europaeum was founded in 1992 at Oxford as an association of European universities with a mission to: promote excellence in academic research and teaching collaboration between Europaeum Partners; act as an open academic network linking Europaeum Partners and other bodies in the joint pursuit of study; serve as a resource for the general support and promotion of European studies. All EPS Consortium members are also members of this prestigious association. As an Associate Partner, Europaeum offers EPS students the possibility to participate in the Oxford Spring School, an outstanding academic event where students will be exposed to high-level methods of academic debate and will also attend lectures by top experts. Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA) is located in Brussels. TEPSA is a research network consisting of leading research institutes in the field of European affairs throughout Europe. TEPSA's aim is to provide a high quality research on European integration. TEPSA and EPS Consortium members have engaged in a two-fold approach providing expertise on EU policies and politics combined with a vast experience in organizing and conducting EU wide research, training and networks.

International Cultural Centre (ICC) in Krakow has the status of a national institution of culture active in the fields of research, education, publishing and exhibitions. It pursues its mission of public diplomacy by facilitating international cultural dialogue, taking Central Europe as the point of departure for its action and thought on heritage. Additionally, the ICC hosts a rich and varied line up of panel discussions and conferences on international themes that are important to the social, cultural and political landscape of Europe from a CEE perspective.

Samsung Electronics Benelux B.V. has grown, since being established in 1969, into one of the world’s leading technology companies, and become recognized as one of the top 10 global brands. Their network now extends across the world, and Samsung takes great pride in the creativity and diversity of its talented people, who drive our growth.



The EPS Programme also has six Academic Associated Partners in two strategic regions - Latin America and South Caucasus. These institutions participate in the EPS Programme sending guest lecturers and offering short student exchanges:

El Colegio de México (Colmex) is a public university institution dedicated to research and higher education in social sciences and humanities. It is one of the most outstanding in the Hispanic world, and has received numerous awards since its founding in 1940. In order to fulfil its aims, the Colegio de México carries out research and teaching in the following specialization areas of their Study Centers: Historical, Linguistic and Literary, International, Asia and Africa, Economic, Urban and Environmental Demographics and Sociology, in addition to the Gender Studies Program.

Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) is one of the leading academic institutions in Mexico. Its substantive functions are teaching, research, and dissemination of culture. Its organizational structure is divided into three sub-systems: education, which includes undergraduate, master and doctoral programmes; research, which is done in its schools, and in its institutes and centres of natural and exact sciences, and on the other hand, humanities and social sciences as well as cultural dissemination.

Universidad Diego Portales (UDP) - is one of the oldest private universities in Chile. Since its foundation in 1982, the university has consistently been contributing with the implementation of social policies towards Chilean development, which has led UDP to be positioned as one of the best universities in the country. The UDP academic community meets the highest standards and maintains close links with the Chilean society, ensuring full respect for pluralism and independence of opinion among its members.

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is the first national university in Georgia and the first higher education institution in the Caucasus region. It established formal education in the country, created the local intellectual workforce and paved the way for human development and democracy. TSU has a well-developed Institute of European Studies, the Institute of Administrative Sciences and Public Policy, the Divisions of International Relations and International law. 

Ilia State University (ISU) offers research-based study programs and vigorous research activities. It has been beneficiary of large number of national and international projects related to educational and capacity building and research. ISU has also implemented the project “European Studies – the European Neighbourhood from the V4 Perspective” funded by the International Visegrad Fund in 2014.

Yerevan State University (YSU) is the first Armenian University and the leading university among the institutions of higher education in Armenia and one of the best universities in the Caucasus. YSU strives to provide high-quality education and facilitate research through innovative initiatives and policies. Internationalization is a high priority for YSU, including but not limited to such areas as joint degrees, curricula internationalization, both incoming and outgoing mobility and scientific cooperation.
